Hawksmoor’s Annual Charity Dinner, now in its eleventh year, returns on Saturday, 9th September. Over the years, Hawksmoor has collaborated with some of the best chefs from around the world. This year’s stellar lineup will see Angela Hartnett OBE, Chef Patron of Murano, Mitch Tonks, Founder and CEO of Rockfish, and Skye Gyngell, Chef Patron of Spring (Somerset House) and Culinary Director of Heckfield Place, join forces with Hawksmoor’s Group Executive Chef Matt Brown to create an unmissable four-course feast. The evening will be hosted by chef and author Romy Gill MBE.
To date, the event has raised just short of £1 million in aid of Action Against Hunger, and this year aims to reach that landmark in support of their critical work in tackling life-threatening hunger in 55 countries. To that end, there will be a live auction of money-can’t-buy experiences such as gourmet dinners and stays.
The evening will kick off with a Champagne reception with Hawksmoor canapés, including Barbecued Hen of the Woods skewers, Maple bacon & Ogleshield nuggets. To follow, seafood supremo Mitch Tonks will serve a starter of Lobster, crab and fennel salad. The main course will be Angela Hartnett’s Braised Philip Warren’s short rib, Caesar salad and Hawksmoor Hash Browns. To finish, there will be a Honey custard tart with roasted figs and Fern Verrow mulberries from Skye Gyngell. All will be accompanied by wines chosen by Clara Rubin, Hawksmoor Head of Wine. A bespoke Whisky list and cocktails from Hawksmoor Head of Bars, Liam Davy will also be available throughout the evening.
Alison McNulty, Director of Operations at Action Against Hunger UK, said: “Conflict, climate and rising food prices are just some of the causes fuelling a rise in global hunger.
“Hawksmoor’s 11th Annual Charity Dinner in aid of Action Against Hunger UK will do so much in our goal to predict, prevent and treat life-threatening hunger. We cannot thank them enough for their support as well as the talented chefs taking part.”
Tickets are priced at £250 per person and can be purchased here. All proceeds will go to Action Against Hunger.
To minimise food waste, Hawksmoor will use leftover triple-cooked chips for the Hash Browns.
Action Against Hunger predicts, prevents and treats life-threatening hunger through programmes in nutrition, food security, water, sanitation and hygiene. The Hawksmoor Annual Charity Dinner offers food lovers a unique opportunity to help.
