Action Against Hunger UK has announced its first ever festive concert, Sounds of the Season, taking place on Monday 16th December 2024 at the stunning St Peter’s Church, Eaton Square. Get ready for an unforgettable evening filled with seasonal music, delicious food, and a shared mission to beat hunger, wrapped up in a one-of-a-kind celebration of the festive season.
Hosted by the comedian and author Shaparak Khorsandi, concertgoers can an expect an evening to remember, packed full of inspiring performances, culinary delights, and festive cheer. With only 300 tickets available, this intimate event is set to be one of the most magical nights of the season.
Sounds of the Season is much more than just a typical festive concert – it is an opportunity to make a lasting impact in the fight against global hunger. Every £42 ticket sold provides six weeks’ worth of ready-to-use therapeutic food, enough to save the life of a child suffering from severe acute malnutrition.
“Sounds of the Season is about coming together not just to celebrate, but to make a tangible difference in the fight against hunger. Every ticket sold means a child can receive life-saving treatment for severe malnutrition. Together, we can turn the festive spirit into real, lasting impact,” said Will Macleod, Director of Fundraising and Communications at Action Against Hunger UK.
The night, which is sponsored by Action Against Hunger’s partner unearthed®, will feature performances by the Soul Sanctuary Gospel Choir, accompanied by top musical artists and special readings from well-known figures in entertainment, food, and hospitality. These names, including some surprise guests, will be announced in the coming weeks.
Guests will also be treated to a culinary experience courtesy of Candice Brown, the winner of The Great British Bake Off, who will prepare festive treats for all. Upon arrival, guests will enjoy a complimentary glass of Taittinger Champagne or a refreshing soft drink.
With only 300 tickets available, demand has been high, and tickets have been selling fast since they went on sale on Friday 27th September.
